Who We Are

My name is Dan Witzer, I am a Lecturer in Sport Psychology at the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) and a Sport Performance Psychologist. Previously I have worked with AFC Sudbury Women’s First Team (Women’s National League) and currently work as the Youth Development Phase (YDP) Psychologist with Colchester United Academy.

From a young age I have always had a huge passion for sport, participating in a wide range of sports including rugby, cricket, table tennis, badminton and road cycling.

I am passionate about supporting athletes of all levels to achieve their best performance. I implement mental strategies, resilience-building techniques, and motivation tools to transform performances.

Personal accomplishments include -

  • Essex Senior Player at the age of 18

  • 162 mile bike ride for Great Ormond Street raising over £10,000 (2016)

  • Competing in 2 charity MMA fights with UltraMMA raising awareness and fundraising for Cancer Research UK (2019, 2022)

  • Ride London 100 mile bike ride for the Brain Tumour Charity (2023)
